Summer Construction!!

As a break from school , I (Josh) flew home to get away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, and ended up in the hustle and bustle of Whiteley Construction!!! All my life, my parents have taught me how to work, and they both can still out work me. I guess I am a little soft from sitting at dental chairs and desks all day. It was therapeutic to get out and do some real work. I had so much fun working with my Mom and Dad. At the end of four days my knees hurt, my back ached, and my hands had blisters from the 1500 decking screws we placed in the steel beams. I really admire my parents and my family in so many ways. With four boys in the house projects get done pretty quickly, as long as we all agree on who's way is the right way.
My dad patiently collected the scrap C-channel trusses along with some of the lumber to help keep his project costs down. You would never know, after seeing the finished product and how nicely everything turned out. Between his talented construction and Mom's creativity, they always seem to come up with great ideas. This deck will be enjoyed by everyone for a long time. Thanks for a fun and exiciting break. We love and miss you all!!!!

Simply Heaven!

"Lip-skick", Big Squeezes, (Josh's love)... JETS, Lil Giggles, I Luh-ove You Natty... I Luh-ove you Joshy... (Ava says continuously in her sweet, sincere voice!!!) Cuddle-Bug Love and the whole bit!... It's simply Heaven to me! Oh, it just makes my lil heart MELT!!! :) :) :)

My spontaneous sister, Brenda, called and said that their lil family was headed to San Diego for a "Air Show" that Brian was to be part of. She wanted to know if we could meet up with them. Well!... Hello!!! Of course! I would drop any plans and drive "many a miles" to see them and the lil Love Bugs of my life! It has been TOO long since I have seen them! Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic for a disgusting amount of time that we ended up missing the air show. It would've been awesome to actually be up close and personal watching the blasting action with the VIP passes she had!!!! But, instead we Ooood and Aaahhhd from outside the stadium which was still pretty astounding. Let me tell you a secret!... there is something incredible and yet breathtaking about roaring jets screaming over head! I can't help it, but I get a big frog in my throat and chills all over every single time!... without fail! :)

Aaahhhh!... I just LOVE you guys! Thank you Brenda for giving me a heads up that you were going to be close by! I'm so thankful for the closeness we share! I truly treasure the sisterly bong we have! And again, I'm so blessed to be an Auntie! I can only imagine how heavenly being a mother would be. But, until then... I will enjoy every second and capture each moment in my heart of being Aunt Natty!

Mr. A to Z

What a surprise!!!! Oh, I was SO in HEAVEN!!! Josh being the sweet husband he is said one night after he got home from school... "I've got something planned for us this weekend... a surprise for you, so don't make any plans!"...... OK! So, if you know me... I don't settle well with surprises! I mean I love them and all!... I just usually can't wait! My anxiety gets the best of me! LOL! So guess what I did???!!! Kept guessing until Josh got so sick of me that he simply gave in! I mean, I went through everything!... from a new T.V. to USC football tickets. Well, I was kinda close. But! this was by far better than any of those! Yep!!... Concert tickets to see "hottie pants" Jason Mraz! Backstage passes would've been nice too.. ha, ha! :) But I definitely was thrilled for this event! Oh, we had a blast! Mr. Mraz is not only very talented, but hilarious and entertaining! Our date night was filled with singing at the top of our lungs and getting our "bootie shake" on! :) Thanks babe!! :) :) :)

Disney Adventure!.....

Oh!... an adventure this was! LOL!... I've never been so wiped out after a whole day at Disneyland! I literally needed a full day just to recover! Hey!... I'll just blame it on Britt :) and my stupidity in wearing pants on a HOT day!!! :) :) We had a fabulous time as usual with our fave friends and the lil ones! It was Chris and Krista's (as well as their 2 kids) first time at the Land of a Million Dreams. So, that was exciting to see how their experience turned out. Brandon and Jenika have a whole different story!!!! So, so sorry guys! We loved sharing the day with you though!
We ended up running into many of the other students and their families as well as friends from our ward. It was "supposed" to be a slow day on Labor Day, but turned out to be very busy! Yeah... it was a "fighting through the crowds" day! Hey we still look forward to going again with our friends! And! Really!... you can never have a bad day at Disneyland! Well... you tell me Jenika???! Can't wait till next time!!!!! :)

We decided... well, I should say Josh decided to be spontaneous! Yep!... without scheduling or planning anything, we packed some lunch our flip-flops, Oh!... and extra diet coke! Yes, that would be my Love making sure I'm taken care of! LOL! :) Then we just got in the car and drove!
I absolutely Luh-ove doing that!!!! I'm always on the go and love to be spontaneous and experience new lil adventures! So, yeah!... Josh gave in and just went for it! :)
So, Cali. has enormous fields/orchards for farming! I wanted so badly to get out and take some photos in the orchards, but Josh wouldn't let me in fear that I would get arrested for my craziness! :)
Anyhoo, so we ended up driving through Santa Barbara then back out to the PCH, where we ended our journey at the fabulous Malibu Beach. WoW!!!! It is just breathtaking to see such beauty as the ocean with a beautiful sunset slowly sinking.
Nothing better than a surprised day filled with fun, adventure and beauty!
