The Mailman "Delivers"!

YEAY!!!!.... after waiting for months, the mailman "DELIVERS"!! I'm pretty sure he knew that I was going crazy! :) So, my pharmacy license finally came... now time to put in for all of those interesting, nerdy jobs! Josh helped my update my resume and out I went on my search! I stopped to pick up my weeks worth of beverage at the Albertsons in Marina Del Rey where I so badly would like to work (because it's such a nice area/store). Unfortunately the Pharmacy Manager said they didn't need help, but she gave me information of who did. I was a little bumbed, but grabbed my cart full of Diet Coke and walked out the door not knowing what would happen next.
Can you really ask someone certain questions just because you have a hot car???!!!... Well, unfortunately he thought so!

I started walking towards my car when a guy pulls up in his car and stops me (now I'm just thinking he wants directions or something). So... I'm polite as he introduces himself, then asks my name which becomes a little awkward. Now, this is when you know you're not in Utah anymore! I clearly look married!... I've got my ring on and I'm presenting it very well for all to see... kinda like where my hand is right up next to my face! :) NO!... this guy still has the balls (which are NO balls to me) and proceeds to ask me out for lunch or dinner! Shocked and Disgusted I look at him like, ok... you're a dumb A!!! Then the BEST rejection I've ever given!... Uh, NO!!!... I'm married!!!!! Please let that be the first and last!... Oh, I hope and pray that never happens again!
His geekologic thinker sure wasn't working!!!!!... IDIOT!

So... I then go to my next destination, stop in and hand my resume to the Manager and chat for a minute. She says well, it sounds like you'll be just what we need.... I'll call you on Wednesday. How crazy is that?!!! I've got a job now! WoW!!! I'm just a little nervous to start... I'm still outside of my comfort zone! Yeah... so, I guess a pretty disgusting day can turn out to be ok after all! Yep!... back to pushin' more drugs!!!

Thought of the day:
"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." -AS

Hooray for a job! I'm excited for you. Wow, I liked the story of you getting hit on! You are so right, in Utah the FIRST thing single people look at is the left hand. What did Josh think about the whole incident? Having down time is awesome, but feeling productive is nicer (in my opinion). I'm so glad for you!

Your story of the freak is just like one that happened to my friend up here. However living in a small town he found out where she works, & what gym she goes to. He started popping up everywhere. He didn't even seem to mind when she continued to tell him her husband is a police officer. There are some wackos in the world!

Congrats & Best of Luck with your New Job!

You are lucky. People still think that I am between the ages of 14-18. When I go out on a date with my husband I am constantly asked if I am his daughter. It is a little frustrating at times and laughable at others. Congratulations on your new job!!

Congrats on the new job! It's always scary looking for new jobs. Your so right about guys being different outside of Utah. I had a guy hit on me a little while ago, I showed him my ring and then he showed me his. Scumbag!
