Missing you!!!

Not only is it hard to leave your friends behind!... it's difficult to watch a dear friend leave you!
There have been very few friends that I have bonded so quickly with! Well, Becky and her lil' Addy were strangers that became my sweet, special friends in a matter of a day! Our husbands were like brothers! They had the same interests in life, sports, hobbies..... you name it, and they were in heaven! :) In fact we couldn't get them to zip the lips so we could get a word in! LOL! Becky and I decided that we must've been chillin' next to each other in the pre-existence!... just waiting in line chatting! Isn't it amazing how you meet someone and this feeling comes over you, then you think to yourself and say, "I know them from somewhere!" When we met at church, we both said that to each other! It was so strange! :)
Well, a change in life has brought them back to good ole Utah. Good thing they're not too far away! But, it might be unbearable for awhile with them gone! I'm really going to miss the Fisher's! You guys are amazing and will always be in our thoughts! No sneaking away!... Keep in touch!!! We Love You!!! :)

Workin' 9 to 5...

Yeah!... more like 5 to 9!!! Josh has been working his lil' butt off! I honestly never see him! And I wouldn't generally say this, but I guess I'm ok with it because I know how hard he's working!... how important this is to him and his determination to go above and beyond what is required of his skills and knowledge! Mid-terms and finals are always "hell" week! And, right now we are in the second week of mid-terms! Life is pretty intense here!... lots of work and little sleep! Definitely can't wait for a break together!!! :)
This is what Josh had to say in an e-mail to family:
We have been working really hard these past weeks, and I have found out how difficult it really is to maneuver a drill in the mouth. It is one thing to drill teeth on the bench top and quite another to do the same thing in someone's mouth. Or in this case my manikin's (Rick's) mouth. We had our first preclinical exam on drilling and filling teeth. It was a two part exam where we had to fill a previously prepared tooth and then drill (prepare) another. I passed the filling portion (scored a 80), but not the drilling portion (just missed by 6 points, needed a 68 scored 62). In fact, there were very few students that passed the drilling portion of the exam. The grading is quite subjective, in that one faculty member would have passed me and another wouldn't. But that is okay, chalk it up to experience, and all it does for me is piss me off and make me work harder. I think that I have a little bit of an ego, and I am taking the make up exam this week. These next two weeks are going to be a killer, we have exams in occlusion, periodontics, & amalgams (class II preps). Any how I am really trying to balance everything....
Here are a few pics of his friends/classmates..... just below Josh is Kualana or "Big K". And below "Rick" (Josh's manikin) is Mike C.
Pictures definitely help me to better understand the courses and procedures he's learning!!! I'm SO PROUD of him!!!! :)

YOU'RE IT!!!...

My lovely sis Brenda tagged me! :) Well!... first of all, I thought everyone had enough of the tag game! But, I guess I'm it! LOL! :)

You all know how it goes!..... 5 things in each category.

What I was doing 10 yrs. ago: Wow!... That seems like yesterday! Well, Josh had just entered the MTC and I was living in Cedar City, Utah going on my second year of college. These were some of the hardest days with him gone and yet the most exciting with college life!
I was living with 4 amazing, gorgeous, intelligent and absolutely wonderful friends! I don't think I would've made it without them!!! I was more focused on getting a letter out to my Love than working on homework! But!... they were some of the best days in life!

5 yrs. ago: Josh and I were living in Lindon with his parents, trying to save up for school and all. I was at my same job (Albertsons Pharmacy) of course. Josh was working, tutoring and attending UVSC. Our hopes of being parents were raising our anxiety and frustration! LOL! Our excuse was that we never saw each other! Well, we weren't lying!... we didn't! Very difficult days! But, we continued to hang in there!

Yesterday: Ok! Yesterday was a nightmare! First of all it's been 100+ degrees! And!.. while trying to find kitty litter that wasn't 20 dollars, my car DIED in the parking lot! So, 1.)Work. 2.)Shopping for litter. 3.)Planned on relaxing for a min. by the pool!... forget that!!!! 4.)Prepared my 2 lessons for Sunday. 5.)Went to bed at 3:00 am!

5 favorite books: "No on can take your place", "Kite Runner", "Eat, Pray, Love", Max Lucado's books!!!, ANY quote or thoughts book! Reading "Twilight"... so, we'll see!

5 places I would love to run away to: Bahamas, Hawaii, cabin in the Mountains!, Peru... again! :) Anywhere with my honey! :) :) :)

5 bad habits: Procrastination! Being late!... well, that's just considered "Whiteley" time now. But! Can't be late to work out here!.. they're real serious! Staying up late on the computer! Forgetting everything!... I have "post it notes" all over the place!!!

5 things I would never wear: leopard anything! tight ankle pants! fur boots in the summer! neon anything! Well! The "whatever is "IN" just to fit "IN" thing"!!! Some of the designs are just awful!!!

5 pet peeves: Untactful & Spurious people! Oh!... look at me!...I'm "Bigger, Better, Faster"!!! I'll just say that... I like my Privacy too! Utah and California drivers! And! P.G. GOSSIP! Let's see!... how old are we now???!

5 things I like to do: Spend any time that I get with my Love!!!!!! Go Shopping with my girly friends!... or by myself if I have to! :) Cleaning! I am so so OCD!! Listen to my tunes! Anything crafty!

5 favorite TV shows: "The Office", "Friends", "The First 48".... and I can't think of more since we only have rabbit ears and 2 channels! LOL!!!

5 famous people I would like to meet: "The Office" crew!! Jennifer Aniston along with the "Friends" crew too! :) Faith Hill, Kevin James and Sara Bareilles!

That's all folks! :)

Dads Special Day!

Happy Father's Day! & Happy Birthday Dad Whiteley! :)
This applies to my fantastic husband, Dad's, brothers, Grand-pops and friends! :)
We want to recognize all of you and the tremedous amount of hard work, dedication, endurement, and simple acts of love you share and provide! We certainly love and appreciate all of you! And!... to my dear, sweet Love! It may not be today that you are experiencing the great joys of fatherhood, but someday sweetheart! You will make the best father!.... the best daddy! Your patience with me and the process will hopefully make it that much more marvelous when our day comes! I love you with all of my heart Josh!
This is one of my favorite poems about "Dads"! Everything about it is so true to life and dads!

What Makes a Dad......
God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His materpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad
